Andy Abrahams Wilson
Andy serves as Producer/Director for most Open Eye Pictures productions. Founder of the company, Andy is an Emmy-nominated producer, director and cinematographer. A graduate of Northwestern University and the USC Film School, he has been making films for over ten years. With a background in still photography and cultural anthropology, Andy views the camera as an opportunity both to artistically and journalistically explore his subjects. His style is intimate, fluid and affective, departing from the cold observational approach of many documentarians. Past productions include the HBO special BUBBEH LEE & ME, and HOPE IS THE THING WITH FEATHERS, broadcast on the Sundance Channel. A recipient of a Pew Charitable Trust Fellowship in Dance/Media, Andy has produced several award-winning films on dance or dancers, including POSITIVE MOTION, EMBRACING EARTH, CASUALTY and RETURNING HOME, recently licensed by the CBC and given top honors at the Dance on Camera Film Festival. Andy was the Director of Photography for the PBS special TWISTED and the award-winning documentary TOUCHED, as well as cinematographer for the Sundance hit DADDY & PAPA. Andy is the past Budget Director of the film distribution cooperative New Day Films and a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He was recognized by the Northern California Marin Arts Council as an an Outstanding Artist of 2003. In addition to his production work, Andy teaches video as art and discovery, both at the Open Eye Pictures studios and in workshops worldwide, including Esalen.
Sara
Marinelli
Sara is Co-Producer of ALFREDO'S FIRE. Writer, journalist,
and translator, Sara has taught cultural and post-colonial studies
at the University of Naples in Italy for several years. She
received her PhD in English Studies at the University of Rome,
and was awarded a research fellowship at UC Santa Cruz. Now
she divides her time between Italy and the United States. Recently,
Sara has begun working with documentary and narrative in film
and video. She brings her background in contemporary literature,
gender and queer studies to her involvement at Open Eye Pictures,
where she wrote and directed her short film PASSAGE.

Renny
McCauley
Renny serves in many capacities for Open Eye Pictures projects,
including camera operator, sound engineer, editor and assistant
editor. Originally from Texas, Renny is a graduate of Syracuse
University’s Television/Radio/Film program. In 2004, he
edited Troy Dillinger’s music video ANOTHER SONG ABOUT
LOVE, nominated for Best Music Video by the Austin Chronicle
and Austin Music Network. He most recently edited WASTED ORIENT,
a documentary about the Chinese rock band, Joyside. Currently,
he is working on the short film DRIVE, a time-lapse trip across
America.

Eve Morgenstern
A filmmaker and photographer, Eve has worked as a producer and
associate producer on several projects for PBS. She was consulting
producer on RAIN IN A DRY LAND, for P.O.V./PBS (funded by ITVS)
and on LAS VEGAS: AN UNCONVENTIONAL HISTORY for The American
Experience/PBS. She also co-produced the Emmy-Award winning
SEABISCUIT for American Experience/PBS. She has received grants
from the New York State Council on the Arts and the Anthony
Radziwill Documentary Fund for her own documentary film, CHESHIRE,
OHIO: A QUESTION OF POWER. She is currently pursuing her MFA
at the San Francisco Art Institute.

Leila
Nagel
Leila is a longtime intern at Open Eye Pictures. She received
a BA in Psychology from Occidental College. With experience
in physical therapy, advertising, and retail sales management,
Leila brings her heightened interpersonal skills and motivational
development to her various endeavors. Her contributions and
energy to the documentary, UNDER OUR SKIN, stems from helping
her mother battle with the devastating disease.

Kris
Newby
Kris is Senior Producer of UNDER OUR SKIN. She is also an award-winning
screenwriter and science writer, with engineering degrees from
Stanford and the University of Utah. Kris combines a strong
science and writing background with personal experience as a
person with Lyme disease. Past film honors include first place
in the Vanity Fair screenwriting competition and the top award
in Group 101's screenwriting contest for THE HORSE TRADER. This
film was recently produced and has been shown in several film
festivals across the country. Kris has also managed video and
multimedia projects for Apple Computer and other Silicon Valley
companies.
